In 2015
Bridlington was the first town to ever host a stage of the three day road
cycling race Tour de Yorkshire and it returns to our town again in 2017.
The race begins with a ceremonial
start this Friday 28th April from South Marine Drive weaving its way
through Bridlington town centre heading to Driffield and eventually finishing
stage 1 in Scarborough.
We are hosting our very own Tour
De King Street in which members of staff will be riding exercise bikes to raise
money for Bridlington RNLI & The Hinge Centre. The event starts at 11am
with lots happening throughout the day including tombola stall, tasty homemade
treats to buy and Mr Monopoly will be on hand for photo opportunities. As well
as all this the Mayor of Bridlington Cllr. Liam Dealtry will be attending the
event at 2.30pm with the whole thing ending at 3pm
All the money raised will go to
these two fantastic local charities, we really hope you will be able to come
down on the day, join in the fun and help us raise as much as possible
If you cannot make it on Friday
but would like to help then we do have a donations page for the Hinge Centre which you can access here
Please let all your friends know,
get together and come down to soak up the atmosphere and cheer us on
